LLOTJA DE MAR
On October 18 at 6:15 p.m. there will be a guided tour at La Llotja de Mar building, the space where the ICN meetings are held (Meeting point & time: Lobby, Llotja de Mar at 6:15 p.m.). A tour of the wide variety of rooms full of history, architecture and culture will be explained by an English-speaking guide who will accompany you throughout the visit of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. There will be 4 groups of 20-25 people each. The Llotja de Mar is a historic maritime building. It has served as a significant trading hub for fish and seafood since its construction in the mid-19th century. The structure showcases a stunning mix of neoclassical and modernist architectural styles, reflecting the city’s diverse cultural heritage.
CATHEDRAL OF SANTA MARIA DEL MAR
The visit to the Cathedral of Santa María del Mar will take place on October 18 at 6:30 p.m.(Meeting point & time: Lobby, Llotja del Mar at 6:15 p.m.). Departing from the Llotja del Mar, a brief stroll of approximately 3 minutes through the charming Gothic Quarter will lead us to the revered cathedral. Throughout the duration of the one-hour tour, you will be granted privileged access to explore the interior of the cathedral, including the distinguished galleries (tribunas) and the historically significant crypt. Furthermore, a highlight of the excursion will be an exclusive visit to the cathedral’s rooftops, affording unparalleled vistas of Barcelona’s iconic skyline. There will be 4 groups of 20-25 people each.
PUERTO LAS GOLONDRINAS
The boat tour of the port of Barcelona will take place on October 18 at 6:30 p.m. (Meeting point & time: Lobby, Llotja del Mar at 6:15 p.m.). The port from where the boats are taken can be reached on foot, taking a walk of approximately 10 minutes along the famous Paseo de Colón. You will arrive at Puerto de las Golondrinas from where you will take the boats to make a circuit of approximately 1 hour through the port of Barcelona. You’ll have the opportunity to admire the stunning coastline of Barcelona, known for its golden beaches, iconic landmarks, and picturesque ports. Our knowledgeable guide will provide fascinating insights into the city’s rich history, sharing stories about the ancient maritime heritage and the development of Barcelona into a vibrant, modern metropolis. Drinks and cakes will be offered during the cruise.
